CITY BRANCH AWARDS RECOGNISE TAFE AND PERSEVERANCE IN STUDY

AFGW NSW supports the incredible work and role of TAFE in education – both continuing and vocational. At the recent City Branch Awards, ex Gymea TPC TAFE student Jacqueline Pollock was presented with this year’s City Branch TPC TAFE Award for successfully transitioning to university through excelling in her TPC studies.

Jacqueline is studying a Bachelor of Health Science in Traditional Chinese Medicine at UTS in the Science Faculty. She is also taking part in a pilot program for Student Voice Australia which aims to increase communication between students, faculty and upper management. We congratulate Jacqueline on her achievement and wish her well in her studies.

At the presentation, guest speaker Karen Byrne also spoke for the benefit of members about the role of #TAFE past, present and future and their support for women students.

The City Branch Awards are a part of the AFGW NSW award and scholarship program that supports women and girls to achieve their goals of further education.
