MARAMA WHYTE & #METOO IN THE MEDIA

2017 TEMPE MANN SCHOLAR MARAMA WHYTE has written an op ed for the Washington Post on the way media organisations have continued to foster ‘a culture of discrimination and harassment toward women’.

Marama, who holds a Bachelor of Music (Performance), Bachelor of Arts, (Hons. 1) History and is currently doing her PhD History at USYD University of Sydney received funding from AFGW NSW through its Tempe Mann Travelling Scholarship to enable her archival research trip to the US studying Women in Print: A History of Gender and the US Media from the 1960s-1980s. We wish Marama all the very best with her research and impact in this area.
