North Shore members Mrs Marion Stenning (C) and Jenny Bennett (R) were delighted to attend the recent History Faculty awards event at Macquarie University. There to meet and present to North Shore Branch Modern History Award winner Phoebe McHugh, they enjoyed being asked by Phoebe of their own university experiences.

‘In all the years of attending awards, I think this is the first time one of our award winners has asked me about my own university experience.’ remarked Jenny. ‘So full credit to Phoebe!’

Let’s hope she is not the last young woman to enquire and the wealth of educational experience of many of the members can be shared.

The North Shore Branch Prize for 200 Level Modern History at Macquarie University is for proficiency in at least 2 units at 200-level Modern History and is one of four prizes provided by the North Shore Branch each year.
